But before you say out with the old and in with the new, some hot collabs from 2022 are even more rare now, and that means the resale value is on the up and up.

We’ve rounded up some of our favorite fashion drops and capsule collections that we think your customers will want to wear and carry throughout 2023, and beyond.

LOUIS VUITTON X YAYOI KUSAMA

Launched on January 6th, this is the second time Louis Vuitton created a limited-edition capsule collection with world-renowned Japanese artist, Yayoi Kusama, featuring her instantly recognizable motif, the colorful infinity dots. Inspired by unprecedented creativity, this new ready-to-wear collection reinterprets Louis Vuitton’s most iconic pieces and infuses them with the artist’s signature designs.

The dots—which come in multicolor Painted Dots, Metal Dots, Infinity Dots and a Psychedelic Flower design—enliven timeless pieces like the Cappucines, Neverfull, Speedy and the Pochette. Her signature designs can also be found on Louis Vuitton clothing, shoes, sunglasses, jewelry, and shoes.

As you can imagine, these rare pieces are selling out quickly, as resellers scoop them up and hope to make a profit in the future. We absolutely think you should invest in a few pieces for your business too.

Combining both labels’ heritage and archetypes into a Tiffany Baguette, this beautiful bag is designed in Tiffany Blue-hued smooth calfskin leather with their iconic sterling silver hardware featuring the FF buckle paired with the dual Tiffany T motif.

SUPREME X BALENCIAGA

If the rumors are true, Supreme will join forces with Balenciaga for a collaboration sometime in the near future. Following the box logo tee that was spotted in Balenciaga’s Summer 2023 collection, fashion insiders started whispering loudly that the tee was a sneak peek into their new joint venture.

This much-anticipated capsule collection is allegedly scheduled for a Spring 2023 launch, with many claiming it will include clothing, shoes, bags and accessories. While we currently do not have confirmation of this rumor, Balenciaga says the tee wasn’t a collaboration with Supreme, but just another spoof design for the brand.

Either way, we’re paying close attention to this space, and we think it should be on your radar too.

First available in May 2022, the Fendace (Fendi x Versace) collection will slowly roll out throughout the summer. This unexpected collaboration celebrates the legacy of Versace and Fendi. With signature silhouettes, impeccable craftsmanship, luxurious materials and the marriage of the iconic FF logo and the Medusa motif, this gaudy yet gorgeous selection of ready to wear, accessories, shoes and bags are on everyone’s radar.

The first drop, which featured reimagined Peekaboo bags, logo sandals, silk dresses, jewelry, the Baguette, bucket hats, sunglasses, sneakers and more, caused a huge frenzy with many items selling out almost immediately. Womenswear and silk accessories (including bags) feature a medley of Fendi’s FF logo and Versace’s Barocco and Ventagli foulard prints, and buttery soft leather gets updated with shimmering chain mail and Medusa safety pins.

The menswear is inspired by the archives and features relaxed silhouettes in black, gold and pink hues, and many shoes and accessories are decorated with the Fendace logo. The limited-edition Fendi x Versace collab is a must-have for any high-fashion obsessed shopper.

With temperatures soaring, it’s time to kick back and relax in a pair of over-the-top Birkenstocks. The Blahnik x Birkenstock collab combines one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes with one of the most glamorous. This two-part capsule collection fuses everyday comfort with true Sex and the City style with the price to match.

The first batch of shoes launched on March 24th and included the Arizona and Boston styles in black leather and velvet with crystal buckles. These artsy sandals are almost so tacky they’re practically irresistible, and perfect for glamping, shopping or strolling around the Upper East Side with twins in a stroller.

BURBERRY X SUPREME

The world-renowned British fashion house joined forces with the street style brand to create a limited-edition capsule collection that’s as luxurious as it’s notorious. When you combine one of the world’s most instantly recognizable prints (Burberry’s Nova Check) with Supreme’s iconic box logo, it’s no wonder the collection sold out almost immediately.

With creative director Riccardo Tisci running the show, many are wondering if this is Burberry’s time to shine. Introduced in March 2022, the Supreme x Burberry collection features an exclusive selection of shearling-collared puffer jackets, box logo t-shirts, denim trucker jackets, silk pajamas, denim shorts, trench coats and more.

Tisci’s mission has been to attract a younger audience to the line with this launch, and it’s his first collaboration since he partnered with Vivienne Westwood back in 2018.

Known as The Hacker Project, Gucci and Balenciaga’s highly anticipated collaboration was an “exploration on ideas of authenticity and appropriation within the fashion industry” and was presented to the world at Gucci’s Aria show in April of 2021. Officially available for purchase in November 2021, this capsule collection by two Kering brands featured classic Gucci and Balenciaga bags, shoes, clothing, and accessories, and then combined the two brands to create a new line.

Released four months after Gucci’s collaboration with The North Face, Allesandro Michele joined forces with Balenciaga’s Demna Gvasalia to create this exclusive, limited-edition hack that’s a nod to counterfeit culture by mixing and matching the motifs to create new interpretations of iconic, signature pieces like the Balenciaga City Bag and the Gucci Jackie.

The collection included a skirt suit with strips of Balenciaga and Gucci emblems, logomania blazers, hacker caps, a new take on Balenciaga’s Triple S sneakers, and outerwear decorated with Gucci’s monogram. The hacks included the Balenciaga Hourglass bag, which was mixed with the Gucci monogram print, the Gucci GG belt which featured Balenciaga’s BB logo, a monogrammed Gucci tote that says, “This is not a Gucci bag” and duffle bags.

While most of this collection sold out on the first day, you can find some of these Gucciaga bags, shoes, clothing and accessories on the resale market.
