What a crazy time we are living in right now. This world feels so small especially during a time like this. As an eternal optimist, I truly believe we will get through this together and come out of this stronger. Staying in and social distancing is so important right now and while we're only a few days in, it may feel much longer. So what to do to pass the time?
Here are a few of the things that are keeping me sane:
Self Care
Face masks and self-care go hand in hand, if you ask me. After a long day of working from home with two kids under 3, I love to do a good face mask like SK-II or Farmacy while enjoying a glass of wine. And yes, how cliche - I could be the face for any mom meme right now - cue opening up a box of chocolates and watching Ellen. In all seriousness, with the onslaught of heavy news, stress levels are rising and the first place stress shows up is in your skin. So whether it's after a long day at work or in between your Zoom meetings, grab a mask and join me on my mission to Benjamin Button my skin back to baby softness by the end of this quarantine.
Stay Connected
Thank God that Steve Jobs had the foresight to create FaceTime. Humans are social by nature and calling our loved ones especially during a time like this helps me feel connected and grounded. With our family spread out all over the world, we're used to calling each other and even leaving FaceTime on to feel like we're hanging out. This week I'd like to start a new habit - FaceTime happy hours. Who's in?
Clean Out Closet
No better time to tackle that spring cleaning you've been procrastinating. The great thing about cleaning out your closet is the treasures you'll be able to consign and earn $$. One of my favorite things to do is Kondo my closet - there's nothing more zen then walking into a clean and organized closet. Not sure where to start? Check out our tips here.
Shop Online
Hello, eye candy! For the better times ahead (and for the awesome deals online right now), I love browsing my favorite sites to shop from home decorations from CB2 to hunting down the next designer handbag on my wishlist on LePrix, of course. Luckily for you (and me), we're having a sale so good that your endorphins will skyrocket. Check out our Extra 20% Off Handbag Sale.
Squeeze in a Quick Sweat Session
Finally one of my favorites is to keep moving. It could be as simple as taking a walk outside or turning on Zoom and joining my favorite Pilates instructor Elaine for a quick Pilates sesh, it'll help clear the mind, boost your energy and help you feel refreshed. Grab your dog or if you dare, throw your wiggly toddler into a stroller and just start anywhere.
