Florals? For spring. Groundbreaking. – Miranda Priestly, The Devil Wears Prada
If you’re like us at LePrix, not only do you have quotes from
The Devil Wears Prada memorized, but you’ve also gone through our site to look for some of the perfectly pre-loved, vintage Prada and Miu Miu items that were featured in the movie (and on runways)!
So, while florals for spring isn’t exactly new, Prada is groundbreaking! As one of the most iconic, influential and innovative brands in the fashion world since 1913, Prada has done an amazing job of inventing and reinventing the fashion wheel to remain relevant, revolutionary and influential.
Of course, Prada keeps it in the family. Currently Prada’s designs are run by Miuccia Prada, who also has her namesake line and Prada's little sister, Miu Miu, which was launched in 1993 to cater to younger consumers and celebrities with a slightly lower price point. So, I've even included some of Miu Miu's fanciful designs as well.
Miuccia released her first set of military spec nylon totes and backpacks in 1979 and while they weren’t an instant success, those carryalls did eventually go on to become her first commercial hit. And now they're totally iconic, but I'm more of a leather or exotic skin girl myself...nylon's just a little too campy for me.
Well, I scoured our site to find some of the coolest Prada and Miu Miu designer resale pieces that our consignment boutique partners have in store. Check them out!

Set the streets on fire—literally—in these brilliant pink and black Prada wedges that are trimmed with laser-cut flame accents. Kendall Jenner looked extra hot when she pounded pavement in the same design in orange and yellow.

Miu Miu initially caught my eye with the
Matelassé Coffer Bag that every cool girl in NYC carried in 2005. In 2007, I finally got my hands on the bow bag, but since then Miu Miu has upped their game and gotten even more current with this patent leather crossbody bag, amongst other designs!

There was a time when having a Prada wallet was the epitome of fashion girl chic. During lunch, women would leave their oversized bags at their desks and tote their Saffiano wallet that was adorned with the iconic triangle symbol. While this floral velvet wallet doesn't feature that logo, it does have beautiful embellishments and a golden Prada emblem.

I'm loving the Prada Cahier bag. When I was in London at Selfridges, I kept going back to the Prada boutique to stalk one in black leather with gold hardware. Just in time for the holidays, this design is crafted in plush purple and burgundy velvet, anchored by an adjustable chain strap and adorned with the Prada logo.
A glamorous backup for grownups! This sleek carryall is crafted in luxurious python skin and features two front pockets, a top handle, adjustable shoulder straps, buckle and drawstring closure, and the seriously stylish Prada logo!

Prada's Sidonie belt bag offers two cool looks in one! Crafted in smooth, two-tone leather it features silver-tone hardware, removable chain strap and an adjustable, detachable buckled strap so you can wear it as a crossbody or at the waist!

Throw shade the chic, groovy way. Featured on the runway in 2017 and in Prada's ad campaigns, these 70's-inspired, cat's-eye sunglasses feature colorful velvet inserts, curved temples and Prada's logo.

An updated take on the now iconic Prada Galleria Tote, the Paradigme Tote is a working girl's dream come true! Crafted in sturdy Saffiano leather, this timeless carryall features gold-tone hardware, an adjustable shoulder strap, ID tag with colorful trim, two outside pockets, inner compartments and lots of storage space!

Woohoo girl! Prepare for catcalls when you're prancing down the street in these seductive, strappy Miu Miu sandals that are crafted in smooth leather and elevated by a quirky screw heel.

Get carried away with these whimsical Miu Miu sunglasses that are crafted in lightweight, gold-tone metal with dark lenses and flirty cutout designs.
