Luxury Resale Network
If you are looking for edgy, rare items then your go to store should be Luxury Resale Network. Owned Eric Marcelino, Luxury Resale Network has an abundance of drool-worthy designer items. With everything from Burberry to Valentino, and of course, lots and lots of Chanel, you will easily be able to channel your inner rock star. We interviewed Eric to learn more about his store, and how he finds his amazing items. Why did you decide to get into the luxury consignment business? I opened a consignment shop because when I was in college I personally struggled to be able to afford and find designer fashion. I wanted to build a website that would allow anyone living in a small town the opportunity to be able to purchase amazing designer clothing for an affordable discounted price. How does your background as a DJ and personal stylist help you with your business? As a professional DJ for 10 years I was able to meet many musicians & celebrities while touring the world, of whom a number of them who I now style and shop for. My online store gives me a fantastic place to pick out clothing for these rock & rollers who want an edgy on-trend look, which simultaneously creates more sales & press for our company. The beauty of consignment is that each piece you sell has a story. What is your favorite story behind something you sold? I once sold a Dior Homme belt to Xavier of the electronic dance music group “Justice”. I had never met him, but when his package got returned to me because he wasn’t home to sign for it. I emailed him and told him I could hand deliver the belt to him in person because his group was scheduled to perform in my city the following week. He agreed and put me on the guest list with a VIP backstage pass to their sold out show here in Boston where I was able to hang out with him and his whole crew all night. What is the curation process like for you? We only accept items that are either collectable, rare, worn on the runway, or worn by a celebrity. We have very higher standards for the items we accept and sell. We want every item in our store to be truly amazing and memorable.
