We think Oscar De La Renta deserves a round of applause for his 50th anniversary of designing garments in New York. This probably reflects the fifty looks that he showed down the runway. We can tell that many of his pieces are somewhat reminiscent of his vintage garments back where he designed in Paris. We noticed that the necklines were precisely draped and the bottoms were more easygoing. Of course color played a huge role in his collection, however we saw a mixture of the black and neutral color trends that will take into play next season. But we absolutely loved the variation in what he offered. As a matter of fact, we adored his 22nd look. The outfit was stunning where the top was fluorescent yellow green. The way he tended the fabric to create a collar in a geometric shape as though it was an oversized tie. The detailed teal skirt looked like Japanese art which typically has the perfect amount of negative space. The outfit was stunningly accessorized with bangles and sheer cuffs...but don't get us started on the gold necklace that was wrapped around the neck. It was completely to die for. It was nice to be stung with color that we had our eyes wrapped around his entire collection.
Verdict: Order us one of everything in this collection please!
